Car Rental Terms and Conditions

RENTAL FEE

The rental fee is calculated for a 24-hour period. The rental fee may be reduced or increased depending on the rental period and terms, season, or other factors. You will see the exact total service price calculation after completing the application form and selecting the rental period.

ENTRY FEE TO JŪRMALA

Free entry to the territory of Jūrmala city is included.

RENTAL PERIOD

The rental period must be selected as accurately as possible in the application form.

Any changes to the rental period or pick-up/drop-off time must be reported as early as possible so that the service can be provided properly and correctly to all customers.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

The minimum age of the driver/renter is 18 years. For the age group of 18–21 years, an age/experience surcharge of EUR 5.00 per day may apply.

IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS

The driver/renter must have a valid ID card/passport and a driving licence of the corresponding category (B).

PAYMENTS AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

Payment for the rental and the security deposit must be made at the start of the rental. Payments can be made by bank card or bank transfer.

The security deposit amount is EUR 200.00. It is withheld/pre-authorised at the beginning of the rental period and is automatically released within a maximum of 30 days.

INSURANCE

The rental car is insured against accidents (CDW) or damage (LDW), theft and robbery (THW), and it also has valid compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (OCTA).

The deductible amount is reduced to EUR 400.00.

LIABILITY REDUCTION

At the customer’s request, the liability amount (deductible) for damage caused to the rental car may be reduced from EUR 400.00 to EUR 0. In this case, the customer pays a liability reduction fee of EUR 20.00 for the first 7 rental days, up to a maximum of EUR 140.00.

CAR PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

The car is handed over to and returned by the customer at the office: Riga, Slokas 1-1, LV-1048, on the premises of Bellevue Park Hotel. By prior agreement and for an additional fee, car pick-up and drop-off may be arranged at another time or location by selecting the relevant option in the rental application form.

ADMINISTRATIVE VIOLATIONS AND LOSS OF DOCUMENTS/KEYS

The customer bears full responsibility for all administrative road traffic violations committed during the car rental period. In case of loss of the car documents or keys, the customer must pay compensation in the amount of EUR 200.00.

FUEL

Rental cars are provided to the customer with a full fuel tank. The customer must return the car with the same fuel level. If the car is returned with an incomplete fuel tank, compensation must be paid in the amount of EUR 3.00 for each missing litre of fuel.

TERRITORIAL RESTRICTIONS

The rental territory of the car is limited to the administrative borders of the Republic of Latvia. Extension of the usage territory to the territorial borders of Lithuania or Estonia is possible only upon agreement with the Lessor. An additional fee of EUR 20.00 applies for the first 7 rental days, up to a maximum of EUR 70.00.

RESERVATION CONFIRMATION

The reservation is made only for a car group; a specific car make or model is not guaranteed.
